I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
